Thanks Temple Chai

The Scottsdale Job Network (SJN) has been fortunate to hold its meetings at Temple Chai since March 2007.  This connection started in December 2006 when SJN alumni-member Marcia Finberg approached Temple Chai with our need for meeting space.

About the Shalom Center at Temple Chai

The Shalom Center, a division of Temple Chai, provides strength, solace, education, and a sense of community to those in need.  Under the leadership of Sharona Silverman MPH, Founder and Executive Director, the Shalom Center offers numerous programs to help heal body, mind, and spirit.  Doing good deeds is central to the Jewish tradition; the highest level of good deed is to help someone find a job.  The Shalom Center has therefore welcomed SJN as a partner in helping to further its mission in the community.

Since SJN’s first meeting at Temple Chai, SJN members and guests have been aware that the Temple Chai staff and community have been happy to have our meetings at their facility. This is evidenced by their warmth and friendliness, and their openness to accommodate our meeting needs without charging fees.  They promote SJN events on their website and in the Phoenix Jewish News.  And, they provide hot coffee and cold drinks, and they make copies of flyers for our bi-monthly meetings.

How Can You Learn More About Temple Chai?

SJN Founder and Executive Director Chris Vicari says, “SJN members are very grateful for this wonderful relationship which supports our program. I encourage you to learn more about Temple Chai and the Shalom Center by visiting their website at http://www.templechai.com/ .”
